FAI and Dublin City Co are running a training programme for girls age 7-12 who want to take up the game.  It takes place in Ballyfermot DCC sports centre every Thursday ....

Ballyfermot Girls Coaching Programme

2009

 

Venue: DCC Ballyfermot Sports Centre.  Day: Every Thursday Time: 3pm to 5pm

Age: 7yrs old to 12yrs old

Cost: €2.00

Overall Objective:

  • To increase girls participation in Sport/Soccer.
  • To develop players technical skills to a high standard.
  • To enhance the players knowledge and understanding of the game.
  • Link Players into ETP and participate in FAI soccer sisters programmes.

Coaching Programme:

Four weeks per topic – KS1 and KS2 Drills

  1. Topic One – Control and Passing
  2. Topic Two – Running with the Ball and Dribbling
  3. Topic Three – Long passing and Shooting
  4. Topic Four – Heading and Aerial Control

10mins: Warm up

10Mins: Coaching Practice/Conditioned SSG

35mins: Futsal Match

5min: Cool down – summary
