Under 14B Finish last home game with a win over Bohs, Under 14A lose narrowly to leaders Liffey Pearse....

Palmerstown Rangers under 14 b went into their last home game looking to keep third spot their own. Rangers had the most of play in the opening 10 minutes with chances spurned. However a neat one two between Mal Taylor and Keith Weekes followed by a good run in from the left saw Keith place the ball to the visitors net for goal number six of the season. Bohs awoke after the goal and the game ebbed from one end to the other. The game had all the parts needed to fulfil a game not for the faint-hearted. Great deliveries and very strong but fair tackles were the order of the second half as Palmerstown came out leading 1-0. Weekes was unlucky not to put rangers two up on the 50th minute from a deft touch into the box from Lee Dunne, only for the bohs keeper to pull of a great save. Bohs were unlucky not to equalise themselves having hit the post with a header. Rangers played out the last 15 minutes with one up front, due to Sean Johnston’s unfortunate break of the collarbone. Again the defence and keeper worked in sweet harmony to keep all at bay. Last final minutes and Palmerstown were unlucky not to put the game to bed, when man of the match Adam Mann fed Ciaran Brennan out on the wing, Brennan drilled his cross shot but bohs keeper was there again.

1 - 0 full time and a good solid last home game. Get well soon Seany from all the bhoys.

Viv Jackson's under 14A's had a very unlucky 3-2 loss to table toppers Liffey Pearse, a story of what might have been with chances going a begging right to the death, but a super performance from the lads..
