Under 15's Tues 11th - PRFC 2 - 2 - Drimnagh Palmerstown played their second game in as many days after there cup-final defeat on sunday. Determined not to sulk about it the lads came out all guns blazing against drimnagh who have been carrying a bit of form in the last couple of matches as the season ends. Drimnagh have never beaten parmo and they had there own agenda after losing to parmo in the solar cup final in england. From as early as three mins the boys had three very close ranges chances nearly converted. Superb crosses from nolan and maguire seen even better headers come from the head of johnston and shots from the feet of kavanagh and maguire. It was kavanagh who got rangers in the lead when a good ball played through the centre saw kavo round the keeper for his seventh of the season. Palmerstown battered the drimnagh defence who could merely hoof the ball away in hope. It was one of many of these hoofs up the field that set up a counter attack for the drimnagh men and their frontman kenneth made no mistake and finished well. The first half pace died down from parmo and saw Drimnagh come into it ,but dunne floated a ball into the path of nolan who whipped a cross to the feet of the very hard working johnston who notched up his 12th of the season and parmo were to go in 2-1 up at the break. The second half was much the same starting off. Parmo held tight in defence and the pairing of walsh and dunne were all season immense. With about twenty mins to go the cup-final 48 hours earlier begun to kick in and with that came the tiredness. Parmo rang the changes that were needed and held very strong. On came glennon, aspil and corcorcan to try put some pressure on the visitors. Weekes begun to torment and kavanagh was unlucky on a few offside calls. Corcorcan begun to go at the drimnagh players with his dribbling skills and it worked for a few times, but he overcarried far to many times and sadly payed the ultimate price when he tried to beat three players and lost the ball. Drimnagh capitalised and punished parmo with an equaliser. The final 10 mins came in quick and rangers pressed but couldnt get the winner. Pparmo play there last game on sunday away to willows where whoever wins will claim second place in the league.the boys are still unbeaten in the league and sunday will be the win the really want to get that promotion
