Under 12's and 13's Reports week to 12th May

Under 12's Monday 10th May
Kilnamanagh 2-3 Palmerstown Rangers
Rangers came out on top in a remarkable game of many chances at Ring Rd.  Rangers were out of the blocks quickly and Paul kept his nerve in the box to slot the lads ahead.  Thereafter, Ross, Amy and Nathan all had good chances to increase the lead.  However Kilnamanagh had some good attacking play and only for some good defending by Scott, Owen, Jamie and Chulainn and fine saves from Sarah Jane the guys hung in and once Gary got to grips with the mid-field battle we were comfortable to the break.
Kilnamanagh had the better of the early exchanges in the 2nd half and two quickfire goals had them in front.  With time running out Rangers created a couple of gilt edged chances and Chulainn, Ross and Eric all went close.  However with time running out Amy came to the rescue with a superb volley from the edge of the box for the equaliser.  Better still in the last minute of time added on some good work from mid-field put Ross through and this time he finished superbly for the winner.  Rangers march on to their last game against league winners St Kevins in great form but Kilnamanagh will wonder what might have been.

Mixed fortunes for the Under 13's who are playing a lot of games caused by the weather back-log.  On Saturday Ciaran Quinn scored 2 superb goals as the lads scored a great win away to Naas.  This was a very composed performance from Andy and Paul's lads and they never looked like relinquishing that lead once Ciaran's super finishing fired them into the lead.
On Wednesday 5th the lads went away to runaway league leaders WFTA and gave the Finglas lads a good game on their own turf.  The WFTA unbeaten record was in question when Glenn Doyle equalised to boost an excellent performance.  However WFTA showed the form that has them as league winners elect to score 2 additional goals and run out 3-1 winners.
