Managers Small Sided Games - its important to send your text updates to our Secretary Dave on 086 0575138. This is an ongoing problem for the club and causing problems with the DDSL. Please keep the habit of a regular text update immediately after your game, win lose or draw!!
Chasing Cup Success: Our best chance of success this season at schoolboy level will be in the cups.
THe DDSL have announced May 8th and 9th as the weekend dates for the Schoolboy Cup Finals. Andy and Paul's Under 13's are going well and have a Cup game away to Templeogue on Saturday 28th. The boys are going quite well in the league and are a well organised team who dont give away too much at the back. They will give Templogue a real test and fingers crossed that they will make it to the Semis. Dave Walsh's under 15's are having a strong season, unbeaten in the league, the guys have been drawn v Drumfinn in the Cup Semi-Final. This will be a tough footballing test for the lads who will concentrate on the league but with one eye on the "double". Noel Dempsey's 17's are going well in the LFA Youth Cup and have drawn Carlow away in the quarter final. The team are having a good season and playing good football so hopes are high for a semi-final place. Best wishes to all three teams from the committee, parents and other teams in PRFC and we will update progress on the site.
Chasing International success: The Under 12's (Gerry Lynch and Joe Gibney) team will travel to Munich for Easter break and have arranged two friendlies against local teams. The trip includes visits to the Allianz Arena and Bayern Munich training ground. Its a busy itinerary of travel and football an a separate report will be published on the site. Dave Walsh's 15's travel to Stoke at Easter to take part in the local tournament. The lads had a great trip last year and hope to progress and pit their wits against some of the top 15's in the UK over the course of the tournament. Reports will be again published and best of luck to both teams for a successful and safe trip.
Farewell to the 15A's: It was with great sadness that we learnt of the demise of the 15A team ably managed by Vivian Jackson and Ray Robinson. We would like to pay tribute the lads - many of who have played with Rangers since Under 7's and enjoyed league and cup success and heartbreak over the past few years. Its always dissappointing to see a team fold, however we are hopeful that many or all of the lads will be playing football again.
