UNDER 15 FRANK COX CUP QUARTER FINAL PALMERSTOWN RANGERS 4 - 2 BOHEMIANS A.E.T
This Quarter Final was viewed by a large crowd as both teams remain unbeaten, they were not disappointed by the proceedings. The first half of ET saw Rangers pile on the pressure but Bohs came closest to a break- through and Keeper Keegan had to be at his best to save the day. After 5 minutes of the second period the key point in the game arrived when Fitzgerald took the ball in midfield, side stepped the incoming challenge and from all of 30 yards hit a wonder drive to the top corner of the net. With Bohs pushing for the equaliser the home team broke out down the right wing and whipped a fast ball across the goal mouth which evaded defenders and attackers alike, with the exception of the incoming McGrane who ghosted in at the back post to smash home and clinch Rangers place in the Semi Final. A great advertisement for football and all credit to Bohemians who played their part in a superb game. PRFC U8's 2-0 home to Harold's Cross Team - James Dempsey, Conor Larkin, Karl Moore, Adam Stuart, Adam Brady, Mark Dietz, and Evan Lynch Subs - Keith Quinn, Aaron Dunne, Jack Halpin and Aaron Dempsey Goalscorers Mark Dietz and Adam Stuart Man of the Match - Karl Moore. Rangers responded in the best possible way to their previous poor result by defeating a spirited Harolds Cross team. Rangers dominated the game from the start. Adam Brady marshalled the midfield and Rangers were rewarded with an opening goal from Mark. Rangers, through centre forward Evan were a constant threat and could have been further ahead were it not for some poor finishing and great saves from Harolds Cross's keeper. Harolds cross responded and only terrific defending by Karl and Conor and two great saves by James prevented the sides going in level at half-time. Aaron Dempsey, Jack and Keith ensured that Ranger's midfield stayed in charge in the second-half and were rewarded with a second goal from Adam Stuart. Harolds Cross responded again but great defending and a couple of timely tackles from Aaron Dunne ensured that Rangers kept a clean sheet
