Under 15B Frank Cox Cup (Replay)

Templeogue Utd 15A 1 - 3  Palmerstown Rangers 15B 

This was a determined Rangers who did not want to fall at the first hurdle.  They took an early lead on 7 minutes when the impressive Stephen Aspinal played in man of the match Graham Fitzgerald who finished expertly to the corner of the net.  On 25 minutes Rangers were pegged back when the home team finished well from what looked like an offside position. 

The second half was all Rangers and Keith Weekes restored the lead when he thumped home a half-volley to the top of the net following a corner kick delivery.  Rangers kicked on and were unlucky to have strikes from Graham Fitzgerald and Robbie Glennon ruled out for offside.  However the win was sealed on 61 minutes when super sub Jamie Corcoran beat 3 players and finished neatly as the keeper rushed to close him down.  A well deserved win for the lads who look forward to the next round.

Under 12 League Cup

Palmerstown Ranger 0 - 7 Naas FC

Rangers were blitzed by a superior Naas outfit and the tie was over after 20 minutes when the Naas lads took a 4 goal lead.    The home team put in a spirited second half performance but will have better days on the field
