Saturday 7th November 09 Bohemian 3 Palmerstown Ranger 1 (AET)The U17s suffered their 1st defeat of the season going down 3-1 AET, to Bohemians in the league cup. Bohs had the better of the 1st half but were kept out by a string of fine saves from Kevin Deegan. Rangers were much better in the 2nd half when they started to pass and keep better possession. They had a couple of good chances before the deadlock was finally broken. A good passing move involving Craig Brennan and a clever back heel from Fintan Maguire which ended with Alan Hope scoring with a low drive into the bottom corner. Rangers paid the price for not scoring a 2nd when with about 8 minutes left Bohs equalised after a goalmouth scramble. Bohs scored their 2nd with only a minute of extra time played and with Rangers chasing the game, they scored a 3rd with an unstoppable shot into the top corner.
