Comments -All round a poor performance by Palmerstown as they slipped to their first defeat of the season.  Despite taking the lead with a goal from Mark Dietz, Palmerstown never got to grips with St Josephs who replied with two scrappy goals from set pieces to lead 2-1 at half-time.  Two further goals from St Josephs in the second half put the game beyond Palmerstown's reach.

27 September 2009 - Under 17's back from the brink to deny Broadford in the Cup (Match Report Noel Dempsey)

Rangers progressed to the 2nd round of the LFA cup after a 5 4 victory away to Broadford Rovers. It looked unlikely with half an hour to go as Broadford were leading 3 nil. Goals from Al Caul and Donal Murray brought Rangers back into the game.Gav McCormack then equalized with the last kick of the game to force extra time. Broadford took the lead again with a penalty before Sean Nolan scored Rangers 4th goal. With the game heading for penalties, Ian Jackson Ryan popped up with a last minute winner. A great fightback but Rangers will know that they'll have to play much better to progress in this cup and in the league.
