The weather was the real winner again on Saturday 19th
as the entire weekend programme was knocked out with the exception of two games played on pitch 2, Mill Lane. A big thank-you to our Secretary Dave Walsh who did his utmost to get pitches playable for all teams this week, but lost narrowly to the weather!
Under 14 PRFC 0- 1 Dundrum Ath Andy and Paul's charges were brought down to earth by a gallant Dundrum team who took the points and damaged the lads chances of winning the league. While the Palmerstown lads were not on top form this was a good fair game with end to end football by both sides. Dundrum's winner came half way through the second period with a well taken free kick which beat the out-stretched home keeper to the top corner. This sparked the home team into action with Jamie Lynch, Glenn Doyle and Ross Mullen all going close to an equaliser, but the Dundrum lads hung on for a big win. Under 12's - Manager Larry was in upbeat mood despite a defeat for the team against an impressive Joey's. The lads have enough quality in the ranks to get some good wins this season and just need the rub of the green and a few breaks to deliver a performance or two. But against a strong team from Joeys the lads needed to hit top form and it wasn't to be on this occasion.
